Third Party Inquiries & Background Investigators

The Office of the Registrar does not certify enrollment or degrees for employers, background investigators/agencies, or other organizations. WSU has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) to act as its agent for verification of learner enrollment status and/or degree(s) awarded. The results of the inquiries delivered by the NSC are based on official WSU student records.

Organization does not utilize NSC

If your organization does not utilize the National Student Clearinghouse for student enrollment verification, request that the student provide you with:

• A copy of their NSC Current Enrollment Verification Certificate or Advanced Registration Certificate, or
• An unofficial WSU transcript. For currently enrolled students, current classes will appear after the 30th day of the semester. View the current Academic Calendar.
